Winning the game in paintball can be easy once you know the effective strategies. This type of game can be exciting and thrilling. How to win the game is your priority. That is why the first the first thing in your mind to play paintball games is to create a winning strategy.

Remember that whether you are just a beginner or a pro, you should still consider these paintball tips to have a “sure hit” win against your opponents. Here it is my friend. Read on.

Strategy 1 – Plan with your team

Tactical planning with your team is very important. Don’t just rely on your own skills just because you know how to play paintball games. One of the paint ball tips: camaraderie. Remember this idea for the team to win.

It is also a good idea to listen to your captain. If in case you are the captain, you can also consider the suggestions of your member. Keep in mind that the game is like a basketball wherein there is team unity.

A part of your effective plan is to carefully study the terrain you are going to play with. In this way, you are able to know where to hide and determine your vantage point. Remember that your main goal here is to beat the opposing team so give your best shot.

Strategy 2 – Gear up!

Don’t forget to gear up to play paintball games. This means that you need a paintball gun, paintballs (include an extra cartridge), safety gears (body armor, knee pads, elbow pads and head mask). These things are important before playing the game.

Also, practice safety measures so as not to hurt yourself, your team mates and your opponents as well. Remember that the game is a kind of extreme sport since it requires agility and mind tactics too.

Strategy 3 – Layout the rules

Another paintball tips is to layout the rule of the game first. Rules in the game are very important to know the boundaries, time limit and the “no-no’s” in playing the gun sport. This will only mean that everyone should cooperate to avoid problems and penalties once the game starts.

Each team should also have a distinct uniform to avoid gunning down your team mates. Field referees should also be a part of the game to strictly implement the rules and determine who the winning team is.

Strategy 4 – Aim!

Once the game starts, be on the lookout and regularly check your back. This includes covering your team mate. Keep a steady aim in shooting your opponent and focus on the game.

Don’t be nervous! Your skills are important since you are also a part of the game. Although it is just a friendly game, your morale must be high to play paintball games.

These are the effective strategies you can apply to win the game of paintball. Beat all your opponents and carry the flag! Remember, not to get “hot headed” in this kind of game since it is a friendly sport.

With so many manufactures and so many choices, it's no wonder most people need help with choosing the right paintball gun.

With so many manufactures and so many choices, it’s no wonder most people need help with choosing the right paintball gun. If you’re one of these people you’re in good company. Keep reading and I hope this article helps to make your decision easier.

You can start by asking yourself a few questions. The most important question is, how much money do I want to spend? Paintball guns range all the way from $40.00 up to $2,000.00 and everywhere in between. Keeping a realistic price range and knowing how much you want to put into the sport will definitely start to narrow your search down.

Once you know how much money you want to spend then ask yourself, “Am I planning on playing a couple times in the summer or is paintball a full-time sport for me?” If you are just planning on playing a couple times a year, you may want to look at just a basic gun with relatively good accuracy. You probably won’t want to spend a lot, but you do need to make sure that your marker is of decent quality and will perform well. Keep in mind that if you’re a newbie, you’ll also need some other basic equipment such as a mask, hopper and tank and of course some paintballs.

If paintball is a full-time sport for you, then you need to choose a gun that will grow with you as your skill level advances. Many paintball markers are full upgradeable and have accessories that can be added to suit your needs. Look for a solid manufacture that produces markers that are durable, reliable and of high quality.

Whether you are new to the sport or a seasoned vet, you need to decide what look you are going for. Are you looking for a military/woodsball style marker or do you prefer a tournament style gun? If you aren’t sure, let’s break it down. Military or woodsball style markers are designed to replicate real guns. They look, feel and shoot nearly exactly like a military gun. They typically have accessory rails where you can add a scope, sight, red-dot laser lights, or a flashlight (just to name a few). These paintball guns are pretty intimidating on the field.

Tournament style guns are designed to look more like a paintball gun rather than actual military guns. Owners of these guns are typically looking for a high output of balls. Being able to fire quick with a high capacity is the main component of this type of gun.

Keep in mind that both Military /woodsball markers and tournament style guns can be used in either arena. Don’t feel you have to use the specific style in that arena. Think about what your strategy is against your opponent and the features of the markers will almost answer your question for you.

Before you buy, do your homework. There is so much information out there. Read gun reviews, watch the YouTube videos, visit forums and ask a lot of questions. People tend to be very honest in their opinions of the equipment they use. Becoming as informed as informed as possible will allow you to make the right choice for you.

Paintball is an interesting and fun sport which can keep a group of people entertained for hours or days even. It is usually played between two people or two teams where their main aim to eliminate the members of the other team by hitting them with paintballs fired from a paintball marker. It has now reached a stage where the sport is organized and played on an international level as a professional game. Paintball technology is also used by the military to train their armies in simulated conditions. The guns used in paintball are known as paintball markers because of the negative impression and the picture of violence it portrays.

The game is usually played outdoors with natural or artificial terrain. Generally, wherever the sport is played, it requires you to wear an armor of sorts along with a protective mask, so that you don’t end up injuring yourself in some way. Most countries have made the sport legal. There are few countries though, that are trying to ban the sport with little or no success. Most countries require the players to be of at least 18 years of age before they can play. But there are few places where the legal age to play the game has been lowered to 15 years or even 12 years.

Paintballs were initially made of a mixture of food coloring and gelatin. Now, however, paintballs are made of a special non-toxic, biodegradable, water soluble mineral oil. Not all paintballs created are equal. There are many differences between high-end and low-end paint that is used to make them. A good paintball is one that is perfectly round, not too hard or too brittle. When buying, one should choose the right kind of paintball; otherwise there is a chance of injury or severe pain. The best kind of paintball is one that splatters upon impact and uses a myriad of bright colors so that it is easily distinguishable.

Paintball has a variety of rules and numerous variations wherever it is played. But the basic concept, which is to attack the opponent team or accomplish some goal without being shot at with paintballs, remains the same. When the player gets hit, he is out and has to leave the game. When a player is hit by paintball, there is a splatter of paint wherever he gets hit and that is usually the deciding factor if he is out or not. If he gets splattered with paint when there is an impact on something or someone else, then usually that doesn’t count. The splatter has to be from an impact that happens from a hit to the player directly.

In the early days, paintball was a crude sport which was played using Nelspot pistols which held only 10 rounds and was rather difficult to load. Since the number of rounds was limited, shooting used to be rare. Nowadays, there are many companies which manufacture paintball markers. Tippmann is one of the largest brands, which offers a variety of markers and other paintball gear for a buyer to choose from. The markers they make are durable, long lasting and they give you your money’s worth. You also have semi-automatic and automatic markers which can hold a lot of rounds and make playing a whole lot easier.

Paintball is a relatively new sport, in which there are teams who try to eliminate their opponents with paint pallets from a special gun called the paintball marker. It has become popular in the last twenty five years. It is a famous sport in European cities. This game can be played both indoors as well as outdoors. It can also be played individually instead of in teams.

Certain rules of the game are as follows:

* Players are required to capture a flag; whoever captures it first is the winner.

* Players can eliminate the opponent by firing paint pallets at them.

* Players are supposed to defend or attack one particular area. The team or individual that wins that particular area is declared the winner.

* Players can also play a game where a particular object is hidden in the play area and players will have to find it.

Depending on the type of game being played this game can continue for hours at a stretch.

History behind the game

Though paintball is very famous, it actually originated to replicate the thrill of hunting the wild in Africa. It is based on the famous book by Richard Connell called, The Most Dangerous Game. Three friends, Hayes Noel, Bob Gurnsey, and Charles Gaines, based the theory of this new game on Connell’s book and evolved a new game that would require players to develop a hunter’s qualities and at the same time become a fun experience for all those who indulge in the game.

The three friends then started searching for a harmless weapon that would give the game a touch of reality and came up with the paintball guns which were manufactured at the Nelson Paint Company. The first ever game was played in June 2, 1981, wherein a dozen players played against each other and enjoyed themselves thoroughly.

How the game has evolved

Over time the game has evolved and there are different variants of the game that players enjoy. Originally, the game had limited ammunition for the paint gun but these days with the advancement of technology the game has developed a lot. The indoor form of the game is more famous in Europe. This is due to two reasons: one is the unpredictable weather of the place, the other reason being the huge population density and space constraints. Hence, large open arenas are very few. Paintball in Essex is preferred at indoor arenas.

When the game first began paintballs were oil based. They were very difficult to get rid off after the game was over. These days paint pallets all around Europe are available in gelatine shells that are filled with vegetable oil and food colourings. Arenas for paintball in Essex have all the modern forms and facilities of the game including the modern ammunitions. Many arenas for paintball in Essex have also made glow in the dark, scented, and cold weather paint pallets available for the players. There are several teams that play tournaments of paintball at Essex. The game has evolved considerably since the first major paintball tournament was held in the year 1983.

Paintball is a sport that has gained popularity in recent years because of its fast paced action and competitive edginess. Players form teams or play solo and navigate different obstacle courses and areas firing balls of paint out of specially designed, high powered rifles at each other. Paintball games are usually played until only one person is left on the field or a certain number of hits have been recorded. Let’s take a look at some of the equipment you’ll need to purchase to get started in the world of paintball.

Paintball Gun: Paintball guns fire the paintballs from their chambers using some form of compressed air or carbon dioxide. Refillable tanks of air are available for rental or purchase for your paintball gun and are a necessary component to make the gun operate. Atop the paintball gun is what’s known as a “hopper.” The hopper holds the paintballs that the gun uses to fire. Because paintball guns operate with balls instead of bullets, a hopper is a better choice for a semi-automatic paintball gun than a traditional rifle magazine. A hopper can hold a few hundred paintballs at a time and is designed to help the gun rapid fire multiple balls a second. Entry level paintball guns can be purchased for around $100, but more accurate guns that are capable of firing at faster speeds and using air more efficiently can cost much more.

Protective Clothing: Because paintballs leave the end of the barrel at close to two hundred miles per hour, there is the potential for skin bruising or tissue damage. To prevent the sensitive areas of the body from being injured, regulation paintball courses require that players wear full facial masks to protect their eyes and face from getting hurt. While competitive players purchase full body equipment and uniforms to prevent themselves from getting hurt, casual players can get by with wearing long sleeve shirts and pants that cover all areas of exposed skin.

Paintballs: Last, but not least, players of course need paintballs. Paintballs are available in a variety of different colors that can be chosen by the user. Cheaper balls have a tendency not to explode on impact, which may make or break a game. Paintballs are usually sold at a price of about $50 for 2000 balls. Averaging about 200 balls a round, that means you can get quite a bit of use out of a box of paintballs when you hit the field. If you’re just looking for a bit of fun for the day, cheap balls are all you need, but if you’re more serious about your paintball playing, investing in better quality balls can give you a leg up on the competition.

Paintballs are designed to explode on contact, so upon getting hit with a paintball, the explosion of paint on a player’s clothing will be evident. This paint stain signifies a kill or a point, and depending on the rules of the game, it may mean that the player has to then sit out until the round is over.

Playing paintball is a pretty vigorous workout, and there are important steps you should take in order to make sure that you stay hydrated and safe throughout the game. Otherwise you might find yourself dehydrated which can result in getting dizzy, experiencing pain, passing out and even needing to be treated at the hospital. If avoiding all of these problems sounds appealing to you then follow these simple tips before your paintball game.

1. Drink Plenty of Water

This is an obvious action to take before heading to the paintball field, but it should be pointed out that fluids like Gatorade or Mineral Water should be avoided if possible. The best hydrator for vigorous sports and exercise is water. If you want something refreshing to enjoy after your game, consider drinking coconut water. It has more electrolytes than Gatorade and other sports drinks do, and it offers real nutrients your body needs.

Stay Away from Salty Foods

Salt will dehydrate your body and that’s the last thing you want to do before a long game of paintball. In order to make sure all the water you’ve been drinking is effective, it’s important to avoid salty foods for at least six hours before your game. This means avoiding potato chips, sunflower seeds, popcorn, pretzels and other foods that have a high amount of salt including soups and even salad dressings.

2. Eat Plenty of Fruits and Vegetables

Fruits and vegetables contain a high amount of water in them naturally, which means they’ll help to hydrate you while keeping you feeling full and satisfied before your game of paintball, without making you feel bogged down like a heavy meal normally would. Salads topped with almonds or walnuts, fruit kabobs, and stir fry or broiled veggies are all great pre paintball meals.

3. Rest a Little

Don’t get too active before you set off to workout, this will just start to deplete your hydration before you even begin. Take the day easy if your game is in the afternoon, watch a movie or play a game of cards with a friend or two. If you plan to play paintball in the morning, make sure you get to bed early enough to get at least eight hours of deep sleep. You should lay off the alcohol too, as it’s known to dehydrate your body like salt does.

4. Try Something New

Try new patterns in the way you prepare for a paintball game in order to find out what works best for you and your schedule. For example, you might find that stopping your water intake at least an hour before hand keeps you feeling stronger than if you drink water up until game time. Or you may figure out that a quick meal right before the game works better for you than skimping out on food for the day. Everyone is a little different when it comes to the small details so take your time, pay attention and fine tune your game by making sure you are hydrated.

Many people think that airsoft and paintball are dangerous, but the truth is neither one of these extreme sports produces more injuries than a common club sport (ie. basketball, football, baseball, etc). If you are thinking about joining either of these sports, all the power to you. However, while both sports are safe, airsoft is considerably more intimidating than paintball. The fire rate for airsoft guns is usually around 300-450 fps. Paintball guns rarely reach 300 fps, in fact, most paintball fields have restrictions that disallow players to have a fire rate above 300 fps.

Airsoft bb’s can pierce objects, including human skin. Paintballs are designed to inflict as small amount of pain as possible. Which is why a paintball is wider, and more blunt. Because of a paintballs large surface area, the force of a paintballs impact is distributed over a larger target area. Which causes there to be less pain in one specific area.

So while you will never receive an injury from a paintball making contact with a skin protected body part, airsoft bb’s can, and do, occasionally injure skin protected body parts. The reason for this, is because a paintball will never reach past the skin, but a bb can hit the bone. Airsoft bb’s rarely cause bone injuries, but there is documented evidence that these injuries do occur. Which does not apply to the friendly game of paintball. The most typical injuries from both sports are ankle and eye related. And for both sports, these injuries occur in the same way.

Ankle injuries cannot be avoided in any sport. If a player accidentally twists or rolls in an unnatural direction, an injury may occur. Ankle injuries happen in paintball and airsoft, but they also happen in just about every sport. Nothing we can do about these. For eye injuries, if a paintball or bb pellet contacts an unprotected eye, serious damage can be inflicted. The difference between eye injuries for airsoft and paintball is that paintball will usually leave temporary damage, but an airsoft bb in the eye will almost always cause permanent damage.

An experienced player from both sports knows that eye protection is an absolute must. And when the proper precautions are taken, both sports are very safe. That being said, airsoft will be too painful and scary for many prospective players. If the absence of danger and pain are your main criteria for airsoft vs paintball, then paintball is your best option.
