People often anticipate and fear the first time they play paintball. Questions that typically come to mind are, “Does it hurt?” and “Is it dangerous?” The truth is, paintball is a fun game for most people who don’t mind a little minor pain here and there.

To begin, players are going to need paintball markers to shoot paintballs, goggles, a face mask, knee pads, elbow pads, and a cricket box if the player is a male. Goggles should not be removed. This is to prevent damage to the eye while players are firing in the person’s direction.

Since there is some pain associated with being hit on bare skin, it’s best to cover up as much exposed skin with clothing as possible to lessen the pain. The heavier the clothes, the less soreness. This game is very safe, as long as players provide proper protection to their eyes, mouth and ears. Teeth can be chipped and eardrums can be ruptured without taking necessary precautions. Markers should be kept around 280 feet per second (FPS), plus or minus 15 FPS.

As for the stings, most of the time they last for only a minute, and sometimes the pain isn’t there at all. Paint that hits exposed skin hurts much more than contact with layers of clothing. If a close range shot hits a player, it will likely sting as well as bruise. The closer the shot, the more pain. The paint will wash out of clothes, but it may cause some tearing and ripping. It’s best for the player to wear clothes he or she can easily do without for everyday school or work activities.

The breakage of skin and some bleeding may be caused by paintballs shot at close range, but typically, these minor injuries are nothing to fuss over. Bruises or welts caused by shots typically go away in less than a week.

Other players will often target others known to be new to the game. Often, people that are new can be easily identified by them standing around and just shooting. When a player is known to be new, many may swarm to his or her spot and begin to shoot. One hit may only sting, but many shots at once hurts, especially if those shots are at close range.

It’s best for people to approach the game of paintball with strategy. Playing with a teammate and staying concealed is the best way to be victorious. New participants may not understand the game at first, but as they get better, they usually come to love this excellent sport.

A group of friends head out to an open field, paintball gear and guns in hand. Of all of these guys, there is one who stands out from the crowd. He is the guy who does not have nearly half of the paintball gear that the others are wearing. So, men being what they are, he is the guy who ends up getting shot first and also the one who realizes just how important paintball gear can be fairly quickly.

From the top of your head to your feet, there is some very important paintball gear that you really do need. One of the most essential pieces of the gear that you can use whether you buy it, rent it or borrow it, is a helmet, preferably one with a face protecting shield. If you are really serious about your paintball play, opt for a full head and face protecting helmet. For a secondary sense of protection in this area, you can use a throat protector, although this may not be entirely necessary.

Other gear that you should consider is a chest protector and protective gear for your arms and legs. If you have ever taken a close in shot to your shins, you will quickly realize exactly why you need this gear. Those paint balls sting, especially if you are really near to one another.

If you wear no other type of paintball gear, at least wear a pair of goggles that are safety approved for use in paintball and similar sports so that you can protect your eyes. It does not take a lot of impact to permanently blind you. You can put your eyes at further risk by using the wrong type of safety protection, so make sure that you are reading the limits on the eyewear you are choosing for this purpose.

If you go to a commercial site for paintball fun, you will be required to wear certain paintball gear. That gear might be available for rental from this place; however, it may not fit you well enough to be effective or comfortable. You can buy full sets of paintball guns and gear from yard sales or on auction sites for fairly cheap, making sure that you are getting all of the items that you truly need for your own safety and enjoyment of the sport.

Follow guidelines for the paintball guns and never shoot at one another from extremely close distances. No matter what paintball gear you have, none of it will matter if you are not playing safely.

Sniper paintball gear is very important for those who wish to minimize their chances of injury. Although the bullets shot in paintball games are not lethal and would not cause any life-threatening injuries, they still hurt. Just ask anyone who has played a casual game of paint ball and they can tell you that it stings when you get shot.

Sniper paintball gear is a bit different from traditional safety gear. There are a lot of variables to take into account when a sniper buys his gear. The differences begin with a sniper’s weapon. The sniper’s gun is the most paramount item in his gear. It can play a major role in how the game will play out and which team will win. In most cases, the team with the best sniper will win, so snipers need to be outfitted with top of the line rifles with long range accuracy.

If your team wants to put a sniper on the field, you need to provide that player with appropriate sniper paintball gear. Make sure that the sniper is equipped with everything needed to take out the other team quickly and effectively.

Snipers specialize in using secrecy and special tactics to win a paintball war. In order to stay concealed from other players, most snipers shoot from sneaky hiding places. Snipers can hide in trees or over the top of a nearby hill. Snipers can’t successfully play the game if the team doesn’t provide them with good sniper paintball gear. For example, a sniper needs to be able to shoot from a long range distance, so a traditional paintball rifle won’t work. Teams should provide their sniper with a powerful weapon and protective gear.

The job of the sniper is to eliminate high-priority targets as well as keeping the enemy team as off-balance as they possibly can, with the sub mission of providing much needed cover to teammates. Because the sniper plays such an important role, they are a major target. These players need lots of protective sniper paintball gear to prevent injury.

Sniper paintball gear comes in many different styles, and there are many manufacturers that carry gear especially for snipers. Some of the entry level companies, such as a Tippman, make some of the best gear that is available for snipers. Sniper paintball gear can make the difference between a win and a loss, so choose your team’s gear carefully.

To be a good paintball sniper you need certain personality traits, the right physical skills, specialized equipment (including a paintball sniper gun), and the proper know-how.

Personality Traits

A successful sniper has mastered certain personality traits, including patience, self-confidence, and independence. Patience is crucial because as a sniper, you must wait for the best shot to present itself to you. Snipers that take the first shot that comes their way usually expose their location and open themselves to attack.

Self-confidence is another extremely important characteristic for a paintball sniper. The right shot only rarely comes along, and if you don’t have the confidence to take the shot in the split-second moment that it appears, you probably won’t make for a very good sniper. Second-guessing oneself typically hinders a paintball sniper.

A great sniper also demonstrates independence. The master sniper is a loner, cutting himself off from the fun and camaraderie of team play for the chance to help his teammates win. It’s a noble but lonely role, and if you aren’t comfortable with being by yourself you may find that you can’t resist the urge to get onto the field and be a more active part of the team.

Physical Skills

Of course, any good sniper must be a good shot. Practice long-distance shooting as much as you can, as this skill is the paintball sniper’s main advantage. You will also need to be able to accurately follow a target with your gun and fire as soon as the target stops.

Aside from shooting ability, there are a number of other physical skills that can assist you as a paintball sniper. The ability to stay alert in a crouched or sitting position for a long period of time is essential. Flexibility is key, so do some flexibility exercises, such as basic stretching or yoga, before each game.

Equipment

The right equipment is very important for a sniper. If you don’t have the right marker, scope, or camouflage outfit, you might as well not even bother. The industry standard for markers restricts the speed of paintballs exiting the barrel at 300 feet per second, which many guns are quite similar to each other. However, you can buy marker enhancement equipment such as tactical red dot sights and barrel mounts. These accessories turn your ordinary paintball marker into a true paintball sniper rifle–a sniper’s dream weapon.

Scopes are probably the best accessory you can get for your paintball sniper gun. A high-powered magnification scope or eyepiece will allow you to take down targets at greater distances, but be careful– having your face buried in a scope makes you vulnerable to closer sneak attacks.

Clothing is another important factor to consider in choosing paintball gear. Wearing camouflage head wraps, coveralls or jackets helps you go unseen, an invaluable asset for any sniper.

Remember, a lot of responsibility comes with the role of sniper. Be patient, train properly, and arm yourself with the right paintball gear and you will do just fine.

Starting out, those new to the game of paintball tend to fire round after round toward practically anything that resembles an opponent. This is a waste of ammunition and an annoyance to advanced players. Learning the proper hard targets is paramount to an enjoyable experience.

Shooting people in the head is one of the most enjoyable aspects of paintball. Oftentimes the player won’t know what hit them. Paintball helmets are also hard targets, which allow for the ultimate splatter factor during a head shot. Shooting an opponent in the head, however, is not always advisable.

Bad things can happen with misguided head shots. Opponents might end up accidentally ingesting the round. There is also the distinct possibility of inflicting a neck wound. This is why it is best not to aim toward the head when the opponent is extremely near.

Aim for a solid target so the paint filled balls will rupture on contact. This ensures there will be no mistaking the color of an exploded round. Accessories to aim toward include such items as paintball hoppers and guns, paintball helmets, pads and harnesses.

Aiming for the joints such as ankles, knees and elbows increases the potential for splatter. Another tip is to find the opponent’s shooting direction and fire toward the rear opposite, as the feet may be exposed. While it may seem difficult to aim at such tiny areas, accuracy comes with practice and practice will lead to rapidly identifying these targets. Also, opponents sometimes forget to hide these body parts.

Long range shots are like a Hail Mary pass in football. The chance of hitting the target downrange is slim to none, and if the target is hit, the round will not rupture. As the round moves through the air, its speed decreases. This is why it is best to close in on the opponent, so that maximum splatter is achieved. It takes courage to decrease the distance from the opponent, but the reward is an increased hit count.

Learning these tips and tricks will also make a player mindful of their level of exposure as well, leading to safer outings. On the topic of safety, keeping goggles and glasses in proper order is paramount to eye safety. Before playing, contestants always check for damage to lenses and frames, and replace when necessary. It is also good practice to be mindful of any damage to the neck guard as injuries sustained to the neck can be serious and lead to a trip to the emergency room.

Paintball is a sport that has become widely popular over the past few years. The sport isn’t limited to seasons and can actually be played all year round. While many enjoy playing outdoors, there are also places that offer the sport indoors. The sport is also used in some military training to help train soldiers as a means of survival or protection when faced with enemy or in war.

A few or a large group of people gather together and split into teams. There can be a team of two or several more. They will then spread out in a wooded area and begin hunting one another. When one finds the opponent, they shoot that person with paintballs and it makes a colorful splatter. The paint shows who has been shot and who hasn’t. Once shot, that person is out of the game until there is a winner.

Paintball markers are also known as paintball guns and are used to fire paintballs at the players. They are needed to play. Paintball gear is designed to protect the players from the impact of the paint that normally would sting without it, so the gear needs to be tough. There are different types of gear to help one succeed and also keep one from being noticed easily within their surroundings. Camouflage, black or green work well in wooded areas and white is effective when playing in the snow. Goggles are generally worn to protect the eyes and are strongly recommended.

There are several different reasons why people enjoy the sport of paintball. It’s like a combination of tag and hide and seek and can be an adrenaline rush for the adrenaline junkie. It is a way of releasing stress, a form of entertainment that people enjoy. Some do it for the love of hunting and survival, and many do it for other reasons. It also helps players work together in a team environment and make one more aware of their surroundings.

There are different scenarios in which the game can be played and is suitable for most ages. Some recreate war scenes, protect the country, protect the president and other creative scenarios. There can be bunkers set up or obstacles, or natural elements can be used, such as water. Creative ideas are endless. Children to adults enjoy playing. Whether one is a beginner or an expert, the sport of paintball can be a challenging, yet rewarding game that one can get involved in for many years to come.

I want a paintball gun that has accuracy and distance without lugging a 5 foot gun around. Wut is bout 350$. I have a tippman 98 with a 16 in ceramic j&j but my paint just doesnt go straight for long. I want a straight shot with a bit of a tactical gun.

Best reply by Got Questions?:

with a J&J it could be the paint causing the problem. If it is not the paint I am using a flatline on my A5, it gets the paint on target. If you really want to get that tactical look you can get a Apex barrel that looks like a the M4 barrel, I have an apex it works good put it is very picky when it comes to paint (no cheap paint)

Best reply by aussie:

wash with soap and water then use a white rubbing compound for any remaining paint
