It's your choice as to whether you play on a commercial field or home field. A commercial field is a paintball field set up as a business

It’s your choice as to whether you play on a commercial field or home field. A commercial field is a paintball field set up as a business. Usually these fields charge entry fees and often rent equipment. The bonus to playing on a commercial field is that you get to use established bunkers without having to purchase or set any up yourself. Also, if you are a beginner, commercial fields that rent paintball equipment make it very easy to get started and try the game without committing to a large initial purchase.

At a commercial field you can jump right into the game because the rules are already established and upheld by the staff of the facility. This not only allows more playing time, but it also offers a safer game. Despite the entry fee, commercial fields are great to play at and can add much fun to your game. If you can’t afford going to a commercial field or you don’t have one in your city, you can always play paintball in any open field or wooded area.

With the popularity of woodsball ever increasing, most commercial paintball parks now have woodsball fields. Large commercial woodsball fields often offer giant scenario game competitions or war simulations. There’s nothing more fun than using realistic military paintball gear at a realistic mil-sim oriented scenario. The rental equipment at these type of fields is also usually tactical style paintball equipment; military replica markers, camouflage protective gear, etc.

Woodsball fields are primarily used for scenario paintballing. In general, there are three types of woodsball fields, the forest, hybrid, and hay field. The forest field is the most natural of the three; basically, you’re playing paintball in the woods. Rather than using bunkers, trees, fallen logs, outcroppings of rocks and tall grass are what players use as cover. Sometimes players can manipulate this playing field a bit by piling up leaves or branches, but essentially everything on the field is already there naturally. This type of field is excellent for scenario and military simulation play.

The hybrid field is very similar to the forest field, only with an addition. In the hybrid field, play is still in a wooded area (just like the forest field), however there are also bunkers that have been placed throughout the woods. Common bunkers seen on this field are often old cars, stacks of tires, barrels and piles of natural items, like rocks or logs. Some parks have elaborate scenario hybrid fields with huge forts, castles, buildings or giant, life size inflatable military vehicles to hide behind and play on.

The hay field is just like it sounds, a field of hay. These fields are a lot less common but every bit as fun. The bunkers in hay fields are tall stacks of either round or square bailed hay. Even without solid structures such as logs or inflatable bunkers, bails of hay can present new challenges making the game different and fun. Sometimes hay fields also have old tractors and farm equipment to hide behind as well.

If you live close to a commercial field, whether you play woodsball or speedball, frequent their establishment as often as you can afford. Paintball fields are small businesses that can always use the support, not to mention they give you great places to play! Try to find a commercial woodsball field and play on it; then play woodsball in the forest and see which you like better. If you know the woodsball field you’ll be playing on in advance, try to wear the appropriate camouflage clothing to match your environment!

Throughout the life of paintball, pump play has seen some highs and lows. In the beginning it was all anyone ever played, but as new technology and game formats were introduced, pump paintball fell under the radar.

It wasn’t until recently that pump play gained ground. If you ask players why they chose to give pump play a try, you get mixed responses. Some go pump because it’s cheaper, others for the challenge. Either way, we are definitely seeing more giving pump paintball a try.

Is it for you though? Clearly, not all players will enjoy the different formats of paintball, even pump. It takes a unique person to essentially downgrade their marker to a slower technology. A lot of dedicated paintballers have simply gotten used to shooting 15+ balls per second thanks to speedball. However, the above two reasons for getting into pump are certainly notable.

If you’re tight on money, pump is where it’s at. Better yet, if you can’t afford to play as often as you’d like, then getting a pump is definitely a solution you should consider. For one you will shoot a ton less, which means less money spent every time you play, and possibly money left over to hit the field next weekend.

How about the challenge? Playing with a slower marker against faster shooting opponents represents a considerable challenge. When you don’t have speed to rely on, you have to rely on something else. While your opponents can rely on how fast their trigger fingers move, you must rely on sheer skill and will.

That kind of challenge just isn’t for everyone. You on the other-hand might be different. If you want the challenge, and want to play more and save money, then consider pump play – consider Pump Action Paintball.

First off, let me just say the T68 Paintball Gun is a beauty. RAP4 truly has outdone themselves with this scenario marker. Regarding first impressions, this thing looks legit, making it all the more fun to play with during scenario games. Paintball markers such as this one are perfect for military or law enforcement training, as the T68 Paintball Gun is actually built quite similar to legit M16 or M4 assault rifles. But it shoots paintballs! So you can’t be arrested for playing with it. Well, ok maybe you could, depending on who/where you’re pointing it at, but back to the review.

So, onto some features: RAP4 actually offers an astounding nine different options to fuel this baby. You can forget the stock all together and just plug in your tank, get a remote adapter embedded into the stock or use disposable or refillable canisters which also go inside the stock. Of course, they have some more tweaks between options you can go for, but I’ve been aiming for quick reviews you can read and then make a decision, so I’ll keep it brief.

RAP4 also offers nine different configurations of the T68 for any playing style. They’ve got some pretty sick looking set-ups, I must say. Furthermore, the marker comes with a 200 rounds hopper adapter, a removable carrying handle, the ATST trigger and SpitFire Dual Feed Adapter, and a customizable and detachable muzzle break. Fun stuff right? The marker really is nice, it shoots.68 cal paintballs consistently, and you can get some real accuracy out of it if you know what you’re doing. Furthermore, the T68 really does feel like a real gun. The stock actually feels substantial, which is a nice touch from some other paintball markers. It is fairly heavy though, and definitely designed for more hardcore scenario players.

Accuracy wise, the T68 Paintball Gun by RAP4 delivers, there’s no question of that. It fires very smoothly and consistently, which, with some practice, will allow you to get some pretty sick shots. Granted, it still fires paintballs, and there’s a reason the military switched from musket balls to bullets a long time ago: they’re not accurate in general. However, that’s a limitation most paintballs will just have to deal with, and guns like these make it easier.

I wouldn’t recommend this as an entry gun, as it’s a little more complex and has features most new players wouldn’t utilize. However, if scenario paintball is your bread and butter, and you’ve got some money burning a hole in your camo pants, check the T68 Paintball Gun by RAP4 out. It’s mighty nice.

Like any other sport, paintball is no different in that there are positions players can play on a paintball field, more specifically a speedball field.

Like any other sport, paintball is no different in that there are positions players can play on a paintball field, more specifically a speedball field. In soccer you can find mid, defender and forward positions, each player with their own unique purpose, each acting as a link in the chain. Without one, the entire unit would fail, and in paintball we can find the same connection, after all it is a team sport.

So you step on the paintball speedball field for the first time and a more experienced looking player asks where you plan on going. An experienced player would reply first with the position he plans on filling in and secondly the location in that area. The same way you have a sideline defender or a center forward in the sport of soccer, is basically the same thing you will find in paintball.

The three positions in paintball consist of Front, Mid, and Backplayers. As in just about every team sport that has positions on the playing field, each position needs to be filled by a player that has the appropriate skill set. Front players need to be agile, snappy, and quick. You generally do not want your biggest player to play as a Front player, but it has been done, especially if for some reason they are exceptionally well at staying tight with a bunker.

While each position has its own skill set, only one I believe stands out as the biggest position on the paintball field. This position needs to be filled by a player that has an incredible ability to read the game, and needs to be your teams best player. While every position on the playing field is an important link in the chain, this position in particular is an especially large link, one that no team can manage to play without. To find out more about this key position on the paintball field, check out my website to read more of this article on paintball positions.

Playing paintball is fun in its own merits.

Playing paintball is fun in its own merits. However, you can make every game more meaningful and memorable if you know exactly how to play the game. By simply browsing through the rules of the game and different paintball techniques, you can immediately enjoy every minute you will spend while running through a large field and shooting paint balls all over the place.

Establishing the boundaries

Before you start the game, you have to walk around the play area and designate clear boundaries to every player involved. If you want to play with only five other people, you can choose a field that is at least 100 yards long and 50 yards wide. You may need to choose larger fields if more than six people are playing the game. Do not forget to indicate starting bases that will give everyone an open view of all the other players involved.

Define the rules

As long as every player understand how the game is played, paintball games can become more exciting than they already seem. Start by setting a time limit and explaining the objectives of the game. This way, you can prevent players from feeling bored while they are playing a game that never seems to ends. Before the game, you may also explain additional rules and objectives to make the game seem more interesting.

Preparing for the big game

Precision and speed are two of the most important skills that a paintball player needs to master. Keep yourself in good shape and learn how to move all throughout the entire game. Gasping for air while you are running for cover is not exactly the idea of an enjoyable game. Make sure that your body is strong enough to handle an entire game of running around a huge paintball field.

Plan before the game

To succeed in a game that necessitates cooperative play, you have to carefully plan all your actions with your teammates. Since you need to cooperate with your teammates to win the game, shooting away all your paint balls is not a good idea. Work with your team and try to move as one in order to defeat all the opponents who are standing in the way of your victory. With these basic paintball tips, you can make every game seem simpler and more exciting than before.

I had a very interesting revelation last weekend while playing paintball for the first time in a few years. A close friend decided to celebrate his 40th birthday by organizing a scenario paintball event on a large paintball field with family and friends. Invitations were extended to couples and children over 8 years old. I’ve played paintball consistently for 25 years, until a few years ago when my life-long hobby succumb to other family priorities. Neither of my sons have ever played paintball but based on my countless “war” stories and pictures they were extremely excited to play for the first time at this birthday event. On the other hand, my wife was very apprehensive to participate but wanted to experience and understand what the excitement was all about. Interestingly as a parent, I now had major concerns and reservations about my sons and wife playing paintball due to the likely-hood of them being hurt by paintballs. I really wanted them to have a fun paintball experience, as I knew they would never agree to play again if they were hurt or felt too scared to play

Paintball Gear

Fortunately, a friend who is also a paintball referee suggested I purchase some protective clothing manufactured by Field Armor Paintball. After doing some research online about protective products for paintball, I found that Field Armor products offered the best paintball protection from welts and bruising. Apparently, there are also several expert reviews written about the effectiveness of their products, as well as many years of positive customer reviews. After some skepticism, I decided to purchase 3 Field Armor Paintball protective jumpsuits; 1 for my wife and 2 for my boys (13 and 18 years old). After receiving my order, I was happily surprised by the level of protection and comfort of these suits. They fit like regular clothes and lightweight with mesh on the sides for ventilation. I thought the overall design was very clever with multiple fasteners through-out the suit in order to make it fit properly. There were also pod-holders and pockets for personal items.

Paintball Fields

The birthday event turned out to be a lot of fun; especially for my wife and sons who did extremely well playing for their first time. I quickly noticed that only after a few games, my wife and sons were no longer afraid of getting hurt while huddled behind bunkers…and they begun to out-maneuver and knock-off other more experienced players. After several hours of playing and multiple welts, I decided to try-on and play in my older son’s suit – oh boy, what a difference! I immediately noticed the change in my agility, especially when I had to dive on the ground or take a knee – the suit’s thin padding considerably softens impact to elbows and knees. The paintball fields we played on each had a unique setting which made the game even more exciting. There were castles, Wild West town, trench ware fare and even tree house fields.

Paintball Vests

During my first game while wearing the suit I was shot 3 times at close range. The suit protected me from shots to the side of my neck, chest and crotch. I felt slight taps from paintballs breaking on the suit but felt absolutely no pain. This realization significantly increased my confidence level, which allowed me to become more aggressive while running for the flag and taking position on other players. I continued to play with my son’s suit for a while and frankly did not want to give it back. Reluctantly returning the suit to my son, I realized that in my younger years I’ve played paintball in a much more defensive and less aggressive way than I did today, call it a case of subconscious or subtle fear. I noticed other players wearing a Field Armor Paintball armored vest. One of the paintball players was sitting out the next game and I asked if I could borrow one of his paintball vests for the next game. It was a one size fits all and had fasteners that helped keep it snug to my body. The paintball vest also could be transformed into a jacket with a pair of removable sleeves. I played with one armored sleeve on to protect my forward arm. The padded paintball vest stopped several hits to my neck and chest as I ran in for a bunker. I walked back to camp ready for the next game instead of sitting out with an ice pack nursing golf ball sized welts. Today, I played with less nervous anxiety and played to win which is a lot more fun!

A great all around resource for paintball gear that is not only comfortable and form fitting but also padded, we suggest you try Field Armor Paintball. I am an avid paintball player and have competed professionally in the sport for over ten years.

Whether for real or fun, games are played to win. So there will be party or individual who will win against their opponent. So there are two sides to a game the winner and the loser. But everybody plays to win. So like any other games playing Paintball Shooting is about winning, it is about eliminating your enemy so that you emerge as a winner. But to become a winner you will have to be good at what you are playing then only you will be able to beat your opponent(s). So all of us try to get the better of our opponents in whatever game we are playing: paintball shooting game, football or other forms of games.

In a Paintball Shooting game the objective is to shoot the enemy. You will have to shoot and splash paint on your enemy so that he/she is eliminated. This sound pretty cool and easy, isn’t it? But do not be fooled by what you have just read as it might sound easy shooting your opponent while you read, but if you are in the actual paintball shooting battleground shooting your enemy will prove to be a difficult task. So you will need shooting tactics to eliminate your enemy.

In a Paintball Shooting, the paintballs don’t fly straight. Moreover if your opponent is far away from you, you need have to maneuver your aims. Sometimes the paintballs does not break even after hitting the target and the paint will not splatter. The paintball will break depending on the speed it travels and the hardness of the target being hit. So get closer to your target to ensure that you hit him/her and break the paintball splattering the paint and eliminating the enemy. So do not get excited when you see your target faraway and do not shoot, but try and get closer to the target and then shoot.

But a surefire way of improving your kill and eliminating your enemy in the Paintball Shooting game is to improve your aiming. But do not try shooting when your target is faraway from you otherwise your chances of hitting it will be remote. Try getting as close to the target and then hit. When you aim at the target make sure that you are aiming at the hardest part so that when the paintball lands there it break. If you follow these two rules, the paintball will break and the paint will splatters eliminating the opponents.

In the Paintball Shooting game you must know the surfaces that are hardest in your target. Obviously the headgear will be the hardest so try and aim at the headgear if you are confident of hitting it. Other areas that you can look for hitting are the elbows, knees and shoes. But remember these targets are small so you will have to be absolutely sure that you are going to hit it.

Paintball is a very popular sport which gives the players a good feel of what it is like to be in a strategic gun fight. People who start out playing paintball would most likely choose to rent out paintball guns rather than buy them immediately.

Those who enjoy the game and begin playing it more often are more likely to find themselves looking for paintball guns to buy as it is certainly cheaper in the long run when compared to having to rent out a gun each time you play.

Picking paintball markers to buy is actually much more complex than you think as there are many different kinds of rifles. You should choose a gun that you feel comfortable with and fits in your budget. If you are not knowledgeable with these markers then it would be best that you research what you can about them so that you can find out about the different kinds and choose one that you are interested in.

Looking into paintball guns online not only teaches you more about them but you may also find good prices for them online. One thing you have to know before you start out is that these things are not cheap. You will have to establish your budget before you choose what kind of gun you may want to buy.

Units that are more expensive are usually much more durable and easier to maintain, you will not have to shell out money to get them fixed every so often unlike a cheaper paintball marker. A good quality gun is certainly worth it if you truly have a passion for the sport.

Don’t forget to try out all sorts of paintball rifles before committing yourself to a specific gun. There are many different styles to choose from and you will have to find one that you are most comfortable with.

Your teammates must be able to count on each other to show up for training, meetings and of course, games.

Your teammates must be able to count on each other to show up for training, meetings and of course, games. This is reliability-one of the most important characteristic of any team. A teammate who doesn’t show for training can’t be relied upon to cover your back in a competition; it’s that simple. By demonstrating reliability to show up for practice, teammates can be expected to show commitment to the team on the paintball field, dodging paintballs and sliding in the mud!

Just because someone says they’re reliable, doesn’t always mean it’s so! Reliability is a DEMONSTRATED quality. Teammates show reliability by stepping up in the middle of a vicious firefight. Before an actual competition, test new teammates in demanding settings to determine just how reliable they are when under fire! They will make great frontmen if they can stand in the face of danger! Be on the lookout for teammates who demonstrate reliability.

A team has to be able to trust each other during an intense skirmish, or your team will simply not be what you want it to be. There must be no uncertainty as to whether a teammate is where he said he would be, covering you in an adverse situation or pitching in for a teammate who is faltering. This issue is associated with reliability, and is similar in some ways, but a sense of trust must be established in order for each team member to be able to function without hesitation and to have complete assurance and peace of mind.

Being committed means giving of yourself everyday to build relationships within your team. It means not just saying you are proud to be part of the team, but actually going all out to assure a victory for them. It means giving your all to the cause of winning the game and doing what you can to achieve the best possible place in the sport of paintball. Commitment to your team means thinking of more than just yourself; it means prevailing for your team and putting the team above your personal gains. Becoming involved in all team decisions, showing up for every practice, attending events and assisting in recruiting demonstrates that you are a committed player.

You will rarely find someone that plays any form of paintball without a group. If a player has been playing with the same group for a long time, he will hold a strong bond of camaraderie with his teammates. Paintball is not an individual sport! The saying that “no man is an island.” is especially true in this game. Players must work jointly to accomplish a mutual goal. Though the positions vary greatly in goals and abilities, players must work concurrently to achieve the final goal. Each player is required to assist and be assisted. Ultimately, this kind of collaboration cannot help but build trust, enhance communication and generate incredible teamwork.

Commitment doesn’t stop with being there for your team. Commitment is all-encompassing-informing the community about paintball and your team, presenting demonstrations for paintball awareness and safety, and finding sponsors. The internet is an excellent source in sharing information about your team and educating potential players about paintball equipment and other aspects of the game.

While your teammates should possess the above traits, they should also possess a wide variety of skills. Ideally, each player should be able to play each position. Then, if a player is eliminated or missing in action, another player can take over with adequate success. To increase your worth to your team, be flexible about the positions you play. Try to become superior at several positions-your team members will realize they can count on you wherever they need you.

You probably won’t find your ideal paintball team overnight, but the time it may take will be worth it in the long run. When you find a group of friends you really relate to, who is reliable and who loves to play paintball, you will have a pretty good team. Don’t choose your teammates only for their shooting skills, their agility or their speed, but determine their commitment and passion for the game. After all, the most important thing is having fun with your pals. If you run across a group of people who love playing paintball, open up a discussion about the possibilities of organizing a team – you may have found a winner!

Paintball is a popular activity and a paintball gun is the primary equipment that is used in this interesting activity. Initially when people start playing this game they prefer to rent the paintball guns. However, later when they find themselves liking the game and playing it more frequently they prefer to purchase the guns. Purchasing a gun will prove to be an inexpensive option in the long run than renting it all the time. There are different types of paintball guns available in the market. You can choose the one that fits under your requirements and budget. If you do not know much about the guns then it is better that you conduct a small research session before buying one.
