Rather than using bunkers, trees, fallen logs, outcroppings of rocks and tall grass are what players use as cover. Sometimes players can manipulate this playing field a bit by piling up leaves or branches, but essentially everything on the field is already there naturally. This type of field is excellent for scenario and military simulation play.

The hybrid field is very similar to the forest field, only with an addition. In the hybrid field, play is still in a wooded area (just like the forest field), however there are also bunkers that have been placed throughout the woods. Common bunkers seen on this field are often old cars, stacks of tires, barrels and piles of natural items, like rocks or logs. Some parks have elaborate scenario hybrid fields with huge forts, castles, buildings or giant, life size inflatable military vehicles to hide behind and play on.

The hay field is just like it sounds, a field of hay. These fields are a lot less common but every bit as fun. The bunkers in hay fields are tall stacks of either round or square bailed hay. Even without solid structures such as logs or inflatable bunkers, bails of hay can present new challenges making the game different and fun. Sometimes hay fields also have old tractors and farm equipment to hide behind as well.

If you live close to a commercial field, whether you play woodsball or speedball, frequent their establishment as often as you can afford. Paintball fields are small businesses that can always use the support, not to mention they give you great places to play! Try to find a commercial woodsball field and play on it; then play woodsball in the forest and see which you like better. Throughout the life of paintball, pump play has seen some highs and lows. In the beginning it was all anyone ever played, but as new technology and game formats were introduced, pump paintball fell under the radar.

It wasn’t until recently that pump play gained ground. If you ask players why they chose to give pump play a try, you get mixed responses. Some go pump because it’s cheaper, others for the challenge. Either way, we are definitely seeing more giving pump paintball a try.

Is it for you though? Clearly, not all players will enjoy the different formats of paintball, even pump. It takes a unique person to essentially downgrade their marker to a slower technology. A lot of dedicated paintballers have simply gotten used to shooting 15+ balls per second thanks to speedball. However, the above two reasons for getting into pump are certainly notable.

If you’re tight on money, pump is where it’s at. Better yet, if you can’t afford to play as often as you’d like, then getting a pump is definitely a solution you should consider. For one you will shoot a ton less, which means less money spent every time you play, and possibly money left over to hit the field next weekend.

How about the challenge? Playing with a slower marker against faster shooting opponents represents a considerable challenge. When you don’t have speed to rely on, you have to rely on something else. While your opponents can rely on how fast their trigger fingers move, you must rely on sheer skill and will.

First off, let me just say the T68 Paintball Gun is a beauty. RAP4 truly has outdone themselves with this scenario marker. Regarding first impressions, this thing looks legit, making it all the more fun to play with during scenario games. Paintball markers such as this one are perfect for military or law enforcement training, as the T68 Paintball Gun is actually built quite similar to legit M16 or M4 assault rifles. But it shoots paintballs! So you can’t be arrested for playing with it. Well, ok maybe you could, depending on who/where you’re pointing it at, but back to the review.

So, onto some features: RAP4 actually offers an astounding nine different options to fuel this baby. You can forget the stock all together and just plug in your tank, get a remote adapter embedded into the stock or use disposable or refillable canisters which also go inside the stock. Of course, they have some more tweaks between options you can go for, but I’ve been aiming for quick reviews you can read and then make a decision, so I’ll keep it brief.

RAP4 also offers nine different configurations of the T68 for any playing style. They’ve got some pretty sick looking set-ups, I must say. Furthermore, the marker comes with a 200 rounds hopper adapter, a removable carrying handle, the ATST trigger and SpitFire Dual Feed Adapter, and a customizable and detachable muzzle break. Fun stuff right? The marker really is nice, it shoots.68 cal paintballs consistently, and you can get some real accuracy out of it if you know what you’re doing. Furthermore, the T68 really does feel like a real gun. The stock actually feels substantial, which is a nice touch from some other paintball markers. It is fairly heavy though, and definitely designed for more hardcore scenario players.

Accuracy wise, the T68 Paintball Gun by RAP4 delivers, there’s no question of that. It fires very smoothly and consistently, which, with some practice, will allow you to get some pretty sick shots. Granted, it still fires paintballs, and there’s a reason the military switched from musket balls to bullets a long time ago: they’re not accurate in general. However, that’s a limitation most paintballs will just have to deal with, and guns like these make it easier.

I wouldn’t recommend this as an entry gun, as it’s a little more complex and has features most new players wouldn’t utilize. However, if scenario paintball is your bread and butter, and you’ve got some money burning a hole in your camo pants, check the T68 Paintball Gun by RAP4 out. It’s mighty nice.

This position needs to be filled by a player that has an incredible ability to read the game, and needs to be your teams best player.
