Get a tippman 98 or a bt-4 if its your first gun. They are both good beginner guns, are fully upgradeable and are well priced. As for acessories you will need a hopper, mask and a co2 tank for sure. You may also want a vest or something for more protection until you get used to paintballing. Some upgrades you may want are an electric hopper, longer barrel and an elctric trigger. If you want to look up more info on paintballing visit this site.

Get a tippmann 98 custom. It is durable, and you can buy a ton of upgrades for it. You are going to need a mask, Co2 tank, and a hopper. Tippmann sells a kit with a tippmann 98 custom, mask, hopper, and a 9 ounce Co2 tank for $150. Some upgrades that you should get is a 14″ barrel, double finger trigger, a response trigger, an E-grip, and a cyclone feeder. When you first get a 98 custom, it only shoots about 5 bps (balls per seconds.) That is slow. With an E-grip and a double finger trigger, you can shoot at 30 bps on full auto but they probably wont allow you to us that at the field. With the response trigger, you can walk the trigger. on semi auto and still shoot at 15 bps, which is good. A 14″ barrel will let the paintball travel further and the cyclone feeder feeds paintballs into your marker at the same speed your shooting so it wont jam. Hopes this helps.

Definitely go with the BT-4. Durable, highly customizable, and a great marker for rec players, or even pros. If you have the money, get an E-Grip, APE Rampage Board, Rip Clip and then just customize it to make it look the way you want. That’s a 20BPS marker right there.

I play pro paintball, a Tippmann A-5 will be a good gun to get very accurate and fast, it is equipped with a cyclone hopper and feeds about 22-25 balls per second and the modifications are endless such as ( M-16 rifle, AK-47, Tommy gun, AR-15, etc) packages start around $75 and go into the several hundreds, also the tippmann A-5 operates on CO2 or Air, i would recommendnd Air, doesnt drop or curve balls as bad as CO2….also if you buy a Cyclone Tornado Feed kit (This kit includes the Cyclone feed Tornado Mod, Fire Rod, and the Quick Exhaust Piston Housing. With these 3 upgrades for your cyclone feed you will be able to feed at 30+ bps and at a lower pressure, anything over 30 balls per sec will cause damage to your barrel and/or gun if the gun is not made to handle that type of abuse)…..Plus the Tippman is very easy to fix and maintain

Another good gun to get is an Invert Mini, this gun doesnt have a lot of modifications to add, however, then gun is the lightest on the market and with a good hopper you can get 30 balls per sec, the gun runs about 300…..very easy to fix and maintain

Other good brands are Dye, Proto, Shocker, Autocoker, Bob Long, Angel, these are high end guns however they are pricey and run anywhere from 400 bones into the thousands…..

The Proto is a very good gun top off the line, i think you will be very pleased with this gun….the only thing i notice whith Protos or Dyes are that they are a pain in the *** to fix if they break down…..

I would stay away from Smart Parts, Spyder or Vieloader guns, these guns are made cheap, usually have a plastic body and break down real easy….

Well here are some of the brands i have used and got experience with through the yrs, i tend to use RPS Stinger, DXS, Rec or Diablo

also make sure that if you are playing at a local paintball field, that they dont require you to play with there paint…..which most fields there paint run any were from 30 up t0 75 for 2,000…some fields will let you buy by the bag ( 500 in a bag)….

Also it is up to you how much paint you buy, I usually go through about 1,000 in rec play and about 2-4 cases in tourny play….it all depends how fast you are on the

And now for some advice and training tips:

Whether you are brand new to the sport of paintball or you have many matches under your belt, these skills and drills are sure to improve your tournament and recreational speedball game.

    #1 Hugging your bunker

Bunkers are a baller’s best friend. They are the only thing protecting you from the hundreds or thousands of rounds that may be fired at you in a match, but they can’t do their job unless you allow them to by using their coverage properly. Make sure that your body is tucked tight behind your big inflatable buddy, paying special attention not to let a foot peek out. The distance you crouch or stand behind your bunker depends on where you are being fired at from; one opponent may allow you to stand several feet behind a can to get a good angle, while two opponents on either side of you could have you getting up close and personal with that small dorito at the 50. It is also a good idea to practice holding your marker so that the hopper is obscured by your bunker to prevent those disappointing hopper-eliminations.

    #2 Shooting with both hands

Speedball wouldn’t be nearly as exhilarating if all of your opponents approached you from the right side (not to mention it would be considerably more difficult for all you southpaws out there). To improve your ambidexterity, place two targets about ten yards apart and fifteen to twenty yards from the bunker you will fire from. Now assume the position behind your bunker and fire five shots out of the side of the bunker you are most comfortable with, switch hands, and fire five sho

FIRST… Go to your local field and RENT. Look i know its cool having your own gear, but what if you spend a few hundred bucks and the first time you go play, you end up disliking the sport. Lets say you go and you do like it. Next…

Your first purchase should be a mask. I could recommend a brand and style, but mask vary from person to person. You may have a different shape face than i so the mask i use would be no good to you. With that said, i recommend going to your local shop and trying on a few different mask. Next…

Purchase a hopper/loader. A great entry loader is the new Invert TOO. Just an all around great loader for $60. If you can afford one of the “super” loaders ex. Rotor, Pinokio, Prophacy, then it is really preference. But to begin i would say get the Invert TOO. Next….

Get your own HPA tank. STAY AWAY FROM co2. It is very inconsistent. A good $50 tank is a tank made by Ninja Paintball. It is the 48/3000 tank. But in all honesty just save up and get better tank. Like the Ninja 68/4500.

THEN once you purchase these items and you know you love the sport, THEN you purchase your marker. Two great entry markers are the Vibe, made by Smart Parts, and the Kaos, made by Azodin. Your best bet is to research lots of different markers and settle on one you like. There are so many out their so it is really up to you.

I really recommend watching this video, it is geared towards new players getting into the sport. Check it out, and whatever you do, just have fun out there!!

It all depends on what type of game you will be playing, if you are going more towards speedball and airball I would reccommened getting maybe an ion, or a dangerous power g3. The g3’s are amazing for the price, and ion’s are also. If you are leaning more towards woodsball I would reccommened a tippmann 98 custom, or if you hae more money than a tippmann A5 or X7. With those I would reccommmened for upgrades and accessories get an E-Grip, and a new flatline barrel.

it depends on your level of devotion, you can get a tippman, that you can air up and throw in water to clean it, or you can get a better gun, for a rookie level you can roll around with a Smart Parts ION that has upgrades you can purchase, or the gun i have, i use a Planet Eclipse EGO.. with many upgrades, that i cant air up and clean with water, that requires qtips and cotton rags.

it also depends on what kind of paintball you want to play, tourney ball is FAST!!!

woods is slower with more sneaky…

find your local shop and talk to them about it.

    thats your best bet.

1- Decide what kind of paintball you are going to mainly play, woodsball or speedall

2 – Try before you buy. You might like the weight one one but not how to work its electronics

3 – Dont upgrade it until you are ready to i.e. you have played for a while and you know what an upgrade will actually help you.

If you are starting in the woods – Tippman 98 is simple to use. Also consider a Smart Parts SP-1

If you are starting speedball, look at an invert mini or a second hand planet eclipse ego.
