I would get an invert mini, 3 guys on my team use them, they retail for around 300 and are great;
i had an epiphany, it broke, 5 times……and i dont think they make them anymore, they way they set up the internals was all messed up anyways
but say, you get your mini for 300, you can get a hopper (i reccomend a velocity or halo to keep up with your gun) for about 100, and if you cant find enough money for a tank, then the field might have some to rent for you, but you know, you always somehow get the money to play =P
everyone i know that has a mini hasn’t had any problems with them, the triggers are really nice too but you can also look at a dm6
well if you are looking to get into speedball then the smart parts is a good gun. the company is owned by an inernational speedball team so it would be made for someone in that type of game. if you want a woodsball gun though, and an affordable one, the best for your money would be a tippmann, either the A-5 or the X-7. if you dont want to spend that much though, a BT would be nice. you can get one for $60 although i cant say for sure one would last you a few years.
My advice to you?
If you have a budget of $200-400?
Is this your first gun? If it is i suggest you get the tippman 98 custom pro with E-trigger.
Pros
- It’s electronic up to 20 balls per second
- Tough as nails, You can smash it against the floor it won’t break
- So damn customizable accessorys its scary
Cons
- Usually electronic markers are for speedball, this gun is pretty heavy
- You have to take it apart every time you want to add an accessory, kind of annoying.
i would not go for the epiphany. They are pretty much a heavier Ion. THe best fir the money would be a quest. I have had many electric guns and i love the quest. They were originally 1000 dollars but have dropped in retail since. You could pick up a nice used one with upgrades for 300ish. They will probably be the best buy for your money. They are made by a small company named FEP(First Endeavor Paintball). The shoot extremely smooth and have great efficiency. After that i would say go for a Mini or a PMR. I am not a fan of the shocker either. It doesnt shoot that great for the money.
Proto SLG=$200=Pro grade gun! Awesome weight and efficiency. You will definatly want a new feed neck though. (there like $15) With N2 tank, hopper and mask you will end up paying like $325.
Old Spyder Pilot=$100=These you can get at Walmart which sounds bad but it is really a good gun. It has ACS which is almost as good as eyes and one of the easiest to use boards out there. Again you will want a new feed neck. This is not as good as the SLG but with a CO2 tank, hopper, and mask it will only cost you like a total of $200.
Mine…
buy mine its the best… and affordable… how much you got ?
jk
stick with smart parts there good.
you can get a Spyder Pilot for $100 at walmart they have Semi 3rnd 6rnd & Full auto

Spyder has a ton of Electronic paintball guns that are affordable. Most of these guns have an almost endless amount of upgrades available. See the list: http://www.anrdoezrs.net/qj97xdmjdl0257235802149A559?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.paintball-online.com%2Fpaintball%2FElectronic-Spyders_prods_293
Epiphany is good but th emacrolines in it are bad. You would have to get them replaced.
For 250 you can get a Proto Matrix Rail.
With the 150 left you can uppgrade to make it comfortable.
